About

I'm an MMO addict. I play mostly fantasy based MMORPGs. I have been playing for about 7 years. I tend to be a game hopper. The reason for this is because I am primarily a soloer. No one wants their healer AFKing mid boss fight. Being a soloer I find myself running out of content in many games or just getting burnt which causes me to hop to another game. I try to keep up to date with all the games I enjoy even if I'm not currently playing them. I dislike people who claim that to be a gamer you have to play console or FPS or raid. I play what I want, how I want.

A bit about my gaming history...

I played Nintendo back when I was like 7 and moved on to SNES as an early teen and then PS2 in high school. I stopped playing video games for a few years until I discovered PC gaming in my early 20s. I started with Guild Wars in 2005. I played for almost a year and left to play Everquest 2. Shortly after I started EQ2 the EoF expansion came out. I raided in a very hardcore raid guild for a period of time which sort of burnt me on the raiding thing. I played for about 2 years. I left EQ2 and went to World of Warcraft for about 2 years. I raided a little, mostly casually in WoW. I left WoW for Aion for a few months then went back to EQ2 briefly and then back to WoW for a bit of Cataclysm. Played DC Universe online for a short time at release. I played most of the Rift betas and starting at it's release lead a roleplaying guild for about 5 months. I then left Rift and went back to WoW for a couple months. In May of 2011 I went back to EQ2 with the occasional poke around Aion and WoW when free events and in game holidays come up. I resubscribed to the Sony All Access Pass which gives you unlimited play to all of their F2P games as well as subscriptions to their regular subscription based games for only $20/month. Because of this I went back to DCUO shortly before it went F2P and added the occasional romp around Free Realms to my repertoire. In the past couple years I've gone back to WoW for a bit of Pandaria, also spent some time in EQ2 and joined the Guild Wars 2 bandwagon. I played Final Fantasy FFXIV briefly. The past few months I have been testing Everquests new voxel based building game Landmark though it's alpha and currently closed beta phases.

A little about my non gaming self. I'm 32 and live in Arizona. I'm originally from Pennsylvania but have also lived in South Carolina and North Carolina. Besides gaming I like to hike and do some arts and crafty type stuff as well as go off roading and spending a lot of time in my garden. I have a dog, a 10 y/o shih tzu and 2 cats, a 5 year old domestic short hair and a new domestic medium hair tabby who is 2 years. I also have 4 chickens. I was married once. I'm an ex-vegan (currently vegetarian) and an extreme pessimist but also a romanticist. I live in a fantasy world where nothing turns out right. Other than that I've got my nose in my games mashin' buttons.
